Bayern Munich Set to Release Sadio Mane and Joao Cancelo: Sky Sports Germany Report

 

According to a report from Sky Sports Germany, Bayern Munich is set to part ways with Sadio Mane and Joao Cancelo during the upcoming summer transfer window.

It appears that both Mane and Cancelo have no future with the reigning Bundesliga champions. The Senegalese international, Mane, will be listed for transfer by Bayern Munich in the coming months. Mane had only recently joined Bayern Munich from Liverpool last summer in a deal valued at approximately £27.4 million.

Despite experiencing an injury-plagued season, the 31-year-old forward managed to contribute 12 goals to Bayern's campaign. As for Cancelo, the defender had been on loan at Bayern from Manchester City for the latter part of the season. The loan agreement included a clause allowing Bayern to purchase Cancelo for €70 million from Man City this summer. However, Barcelona has reportedly shown interest in securing a loan deal for the 28-year-old right-back for the upcoming season. This interest arises as Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is not inclined to reintegrate Cancelo into his squad following their fallout.
